| Two Dutch companies have succeeded in growing vegetables without daylight - a development that looks set to have a tremendous impact on the way our food is produced in the future. PlantLab, an agricultural company, and Imtech, an engineering company, have jointly developed a new, sustainable method of growing vegetables, fruit, flowers and other plants in high-tech sealed 'growing cabins', using advanced LED-lighting and water and climate control systems. |

| Charging electric vehicles faster |
| Electric driving continues to take off in the Netherlands and will likely gain momentum as batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) can be charged faster. Dutch firm Epyon Power has developed a fast charger that has EVs back on the road within 15 minutes, less than half of the time of other chargers. Besides being fast, Epyon's chargers are also the first in the world that are compatible for different types of EVs. |
