How to apply for a Dutch Passport.


1.

All applicants have to apply in person, and an appointment is required. (No exceptions possible.)

2.

3.

Submit two color pictures.
The picture must meet the following requirements: full-face, month closed, eyes looking directly into camera and
a light grey or light blue or white background.

Photo size: 35 mm x 45 mm (w x h)
Face size: 11 years and older:
Width: from start of ear to start of ear, a mimimum of 16 mm and a maximum of 20 mm.
Length: from chin to crown, a minimum of 26 mm and a maximum of 30 mm.

Please make sure you follow the instruction for the picture, if it does not match the measurements your application can not be processed.

4.

All the travel documents in your pocession, both Dutch and foreign if you have more than one nationality. Also photocopies of them.
Photocopies should be made of:
- the data page
- the page bearing a visa; and
- page bearing departure/clearance stamp

5.

If you want to include the name of your (former) spouse in your new passport,
please present the copy of the Marriage Certification and answer the questions 13 and 14 on the application form. If not, leave them blank.

6.

When adding your child(ren) in your passport (only until 26 June 2012) they have to appear in person for identification.
Please also submit the following documents:
(a) Valid passport of your spouse. If your children are already entered in your current Netherlands passport, only (a), (b) and (c) apply.
(b) Your spouse must sign the back of the application form.
(c) A recent full-face passport photo of the child(ren)
(d) Birth certificate of your child(ren). See Legalization of Documents.
(e) Marriage Certificate. See legalization of Documents.

7.

Police Record for Passport Lost or Stolen, issued by Alien Police, if you have lost your current passport.

8.

All passports will be processed at a central location in the Netherlands; therefore, it will take up to about 3 weeks before your passport is ready. All applicants, including children, have to appear in person at our office. This means that it is no longer possible to apply for a passport by mail.
The old passport shall be presented upon collection of the new passport and returned invalidated except for the pages holding still valid visa.

9.

Dutch Passport Fees - vary according to the exchange rate, passport fee plus shipping charge upon application.

How to apply for a Dutch passport for minor (under age 18)


1.

Birth Certificate: Child’s name must be mentioned correctly on it; this name will be copied in the passport as the baby’s name. See Legalization of Documents.

3.

Marriage Certificate of parents. See Legalization of Documents.

4.

Photocopy of the first page of the passports of both parents (picture has to be shown).

5.

If you have lost your passport in Taiwan, you have to report to National Immigration Agency (NIA):
