Taiwan people wishing to stay in the Netherlands for longer than three months, must apply for a Provisional Residence Permit (Machtiging tot Voorlopig Verblijf, MVV). This mvv visa will allow you to travel to the Netherlands. This MVV application will be evaluated based on the conditions that are applicable to a residence permit in the Netherlands. You must have an MVV in order to apply for a residence permit in the Netherlands. After arriving in the Netherlands, you must go to the local government office (Gemeentehuis) in the municipality where you will reside in order to register yourself in the Municipal Personal Records Database (GBA). Then you must phone 0900 123 4561 to make an appointment at the IND DESK within 8 working days to convert this MVV into a Residence Permit (Residence permit for a specific period).
